010 [Video]

[Jim's looking a little extra spiffy today. It might be because he didn't like being an animal...so he overcompensates.] The lynx. In some...hm...pagan...societies, the lynx is seen as a symbol of secrecy and wisdom. I've always had a soft spot for those archaic symbols, really.

[Yeah, he's trying to make himself feel better. He pauses, tapping his chin.] Oh, but you know what would be really interesting? If we all looked too much into what this Admiral person does. Yes. Let's all do that! [He waves his hands a bit because he's ~SUPER EXCITED~ and then stops, frowning.]

Or we could just say, oh well, that's the Admiral. I haven't been here long enough to brush it off so easily, I'm afraid.

So, for the rest of you, which is it? What do you generally do after a flood as your...oh, what's that phrase, coping mechanism? Brush it off? Or try and reason it out?

Come now, we just spent two days as animals. Why don't your brains just leak from your ears?

[Private to Coyo]

My dear Coyolxauhqui, do spare a moment for me.

[Private to Olive]

...tell me you have something better than Xena. Speaking of leaking brains, I cannot stand this rubbish any longer.

[Private to HIS Sherlock]

[Singsong voice.] I found your pet! [A chuckle.] Maybe the Admiral really does speak in symbols!

[OOC: As a heads up, Moriarty spent time as a lynx, but...I kinda got distracted by other stuff and forgot to post him. :c So if you want to assume an interaction, that's fine with me! He would mostly just be prowling and sulking.]

Why doesn't yours?

[identity profile] consultcriminal.livejournal.com 2011-08-02 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
Now that's my little secret, isn't it?
becauseheswill: (And what if I don't forget?)

[personal profile] becauseheswill 2011-08-02 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
Seems silly to ask a question you don't feel like answering yourself.

[identity profile] consultcriminal.livejournal.com 2011-08-02 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Sigh.] It's not silly.

But I haven't been here long enough. [A gasp.] What if I'm not coping? [And a smile.]

But I am. Usually by brushing it off. Repression, as the call it, yes? [A pause.] Yes.
becauseheswill: (Sad smile.)

[personal profile] becauseheswill 2011-08-02 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose there are unhealthier ways to deal with it.

[identity profile] consultcriminal.livejournal.com 2011-08-02 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Tell me what you do. I'm dying to know.
becauseheswill: (I don't expect you to believe me.)

[personal profile] becauseheswill 2011-08-02 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't been affected by one yet.

[identity profile] consultcriminal.livejournal.com 2011-08-02 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. [Disappointed forever.] Well, then you're useless in this particular discussion.
becauseheswill: (Really that's the best you can do?)

[personal profile] becauseheswill 2011-08-02 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
Except as an observer. Maybe I'll learn something interesting for when I am affected.

[identity profile] consultcriminal.livejournal.com 2011-08-02 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
You could just be special.
becauseheswill: (Not even sure what to say to that.)

[personal profile] becauseheswill 2011-08-02 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe.

You may have a moment, Jim Moriarty.

You've been here a year, so I assume you have at least a passing familiarity with the residents of this place.

Tell me about them. More specifically...who is not human or mortal, aside from you?
worstsongever: (It's okay you can tell me)

Castle or NCIS. Flip a coin.

Oh.

[So dramatic.] NCIS, then. It's dull, but at least it doesn't make me want to off myself.

Why should being an animal bother you that much?

voice

[identity profile] consultcriminal.livejournal.com 2011-08-02 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
Well now, that's interesting. I suppose it doesn't bother some.

There are other divinities. Loki is Norse, and he is a warden. Persephone is Greek, and she is an inmate.

Gaheris Rhade is not human, but he is not divine. Neither is General Chang. They are not human beings - they are from the stars. There are time lords. They are long-lived, but not immortal. They have machines with souls. There are vampires, many vampires that drink only blood.

Oh come on, you're trash talking a cultural classic! Even the intro theme is so classic, they had to bring it back!

All inmates or are they distributed between the two classes evenly?

voice

[identity profile] lifeafterhope.livejournal.com 2011-08-02 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Obviously not or they wouldn't choose to do it.

Oh did they?

Well, then I suppose I have no choice.

You sure your surname's not 'Saxon'...?

But some of us are not here by choice.

I meant the animal transformations, not the floods in general.
